wow ok that is all a load of BS. The real ollie is like this. back foot on the tail of the board. make sure it is very sturdy not like hanging halfway off. pop-down and pull your back foot up into your stomach. While doing that take your foot and rotate it forward a little so you can see the inside of your shoe and slide it up to the top of the board. try to see the side of your shoe and your foot should pretty much just go up. don’t really jump just bring your feet towards you. That is how I do

not exactly because you have to slide your front foot you don’t just jump up…

make sure you don’t push the board out with your front foot try landing both feet on the bolts and the board should stay with your feet for the perfect ollie.

To ollie you have to pop then jump. You pop first so that when you pop your board goes up then you jump with the board to ollie =]

ok i’m confused. i thought that to ollie, you jump first, then as your going up, you pop and so on. But this guy is saying you pop first, then jump… which is it?

i can ollie and pop shove-it on my friends skateboard, thats it. my ollies arnt high at all and kinda suck =/ im trying to get my kick flip down on my friends (he let me barrow it) and i can get the flip down pretty good except that i can never catch the board with my feet. now i just ordered a nice alienworkshop custom board for 150 bucks and i want to at least ollie high before i get it. any one got any tips on how to ollie better and how to actually land a kickflip?

None of it is true unless your trying to snap your board on an ollie on flat ground, your fat, or your board sucks, then its really unlikely. If you are going off a ramp like on vert you an probably go higher than you can jump. High ollies have nothing to do with coolness and low stylish ollies wont look cooler just because you lowered them. End of story.

all of that is true. if you know how to ollie high, then your lower ollies will look way cleaner. it’s obvious that you cant ollie higher then you can jump, and i have seen boards brake on simple ollies. trust me on these, i can ollie about 5 decks, and i know from experience.

If you can ollie high it looks cool? wtf? You cant ollie higher than you can jump? wtf? Try to land on the bolts so you dont crack your board? Wtf? Its pretty rare for a board to brake on an ollie.
